Batik glass technique5.jpg

About my work

I am currently working and creating in Edinburgh, Scotland. After having graduated from an Industrial college of Art majoring in Glass Design, I went on to study at the University of Ostrava. I successfully graduated in 2013 as an art teacher for primary and secondary art schools and colleges.

I mostly work and experiment with glass. I connect it together in different ways, etch it, paint on it, or even break it and put it back together.

Throughout the creative process, I sometimes come up with new techniques like the ‘Glass Batik technique’. I chose the name because, as well as with the classic Batik technique, I never know what the final product is going to look like exactly. We can say that the principle of chance plays an important role in the creative process.

I also work with a stained glass panels, classic style as well as Tiffany. I create not only images but also smaller objects like jewellery, candlestick holders or lanterns.

Apart from working with glass, I draw with pencil, crayons and dry crayon, paint with acrylic colors, work with watercolours and fumage technique.
